Bhavana received the gold medal and the coveted RDC baton from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Bhavana S Pai a second year BA Communicative English student at St Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, joined the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Army senior wing as a cadet in 2018, her aim was to attend NCC’s Republic Day Camp (RDC), which is considered one of the toughest and most prestigious achievements for a cadet.

A year passed by and Bhavana, who is a Sergeant now, has not only fulfilled her dream by participating in RDC in New Delhi this time, but also gone one step ahead by winning the NCC Best Cadet Award.
